Kvaratskheliya T. Diagnostic and prognostic value of indolamines in preterm neonates.

The prognostic criteria the group of the died newborns was analyzed. The following neurosonographic peculiarities in the brain damage have been revealed: at spinal labor injury - oedema of the trunk of the cerebrum, at intrauterine infection - subepindymal cysts. The diagnostic and prognostic indolamine criteria have been determined in pre-term neonates at birth and during the early neonatal period; the peculiarities of their alterations at the severe cerebral affections of various genesis have been established. The parameters of the blood indolamine level in preterm neonates without complications at adaptation period have been studied. The purposefulness of the usage of purin basic level at birth in preterm neonates to diagnose the hypoxy character has been grounded. A new approach in diagnosis of hematoencephalic barrier state in preterm neonates with severe CNS damage in early neonatal period on the basis of determination of the blood and liquor indolamine contents has been proposed. Brain epiphysismorphological peculiarities in the neonates died of severe hypoxic cerebral damage have been revealed; clinical and biochemical comparison has been made.
