Abu S. Comparative assessment of the quality of life of the patients with colorectal cancer operated on with laparoscopic and open methods

The thesis is devoted to the issue the quality of life of the patients with colorectal cancer operated on with laparoscopic and open methods. The quality of life was determined with the use of international questionnaire MOS SF–36. By means of comparing the nearest and distant results of the large intestine surgery using the laparoscopic (in 92 patients) and open (in 86) methods, the advantages of laparoscopic technologies were proved owing to the quick restoration of the quality of life indices in the early postoperative period .The distant results of laparoscopic interventions do not yield to those of open ones. The factors of unfavourable prognosis of the quality of life after surgical treatment of the colorectal cancer were established. The way of foreseeing the treatment results of patients with the colorectal cancer was suggested. The main ways of improving the quality of life of patients after the surgery treatment of the colorectal cancer were determined.
