Paschenko V. Non-governmental organization as a institute of the civil society: methodological basis and condition in Ukraine.

The dissertation deals with the formation of the methodological basis for researching of non-governmental organizations and defining of their conditions and prospects in Ukraine. The author defined and described the stages of the development and schools of the civil society theory. As a result of the description of the civil activity and activity of that kind the importance of the motives of such activity was defined. The own variant of schools of civil society theory was offered because of the difference in analyzed motives. The work contains the principles for researching of non-governmental organizations that can be determined as a "means" of civil society. Non-governmental organizations were defined in accordance with the types of their activity. Two main types of activity were formed according to the difference in recourses. Also the condition of non-governmental organizations and the factors for its formation were described. These factors are very important for the further development of the conditions of non-government organizations. On the basis of research outcomes the conclusions are made and the practical guidelines are formulated.
