The dissertation is a complex study of the content and realization of law enforcement function of the modern Ukrainian state. Essence and types of functions of the state are considered in it. The author's definition of the state functions and their classification are given. The system of organizational and protective, internal and external functions of the modern Ukrainian state is adduced. Their short characteristic is given. There has been found out the matter of the law enforcement functions of the state and their types. The definition of these functions has been given on the basis of the analysis of legal acts, juridical theory and practice. The law enforcement functions of the modern Ukrainian state have been defined. The characteristic of the content of these functions based upon the analysis of international and national law, juridical theory and practice has been made. The legal and organizational forms of realization of law enforcement functions of the Ukrainian state have been studied. The methods of realization of these functions have been defined - general, specific, exact. Their characteristic has been made. The subjects of realization of law enforcement functions of Ukrainian state have been set and characterized. The candidate suggested a number of author's notions, categories, classifications, characteristics referring to the topic of the study. Propositions concerning legal and organizational improvement of law enforcement functions of the Ukrainian state have been made.
