Essay

Hygienic evaluation of occupational conditions and immunological survey of workers of chemical factory exposed to nitric oxides has been performed. The appropriateness of using Triovite and Neoselen for prophylaxis of immune system status based on immune status of workers exposed to low doses of nitric oxides has been scientifically proved. Methods: hygienic, hematological, cytochemical, immunological, statistical. Scientific novelty: current concept on pathogenesis of chronic action of nitric oxides in low doses on workers dealing with production of nitric acid and peculiarities of influence on immune system were established and expanded. Impairments of unspecific resistance and immunologic body reactivity typical for secondary combined immunodeficiency with indices of immunocomplex process formation were revealed. For the ferst time the efficiency of prophylaxis of impairments of immunological reactivity in workers exposed to chronic action of nitric oxides and the usage of Neoselen and selenium containing vitamin and minerals complex Triovit were proved. The results can be used to increase efficiency of preventive measures directed towards prevention of chronic diseases, for teaching the course of occupational health and professional pathology in medical universities. Information letter "Method for pharmacological correction of homeostasis in persons exposed to occupational, environmental and domestic nitric oxides" has been published based on results of this study.
