Leus V. Growing methods of young trees for intensive apple-tree orchards in the right-bank area of the Western Ukrainian Forest-steppe

Object of research - technology of raising apple seedlings on root-stock M9 and M26 and its improvement due to ways of growing and crown formation stimulation. Aim of research - working out measures of apple seedlings quality improvement on vegetative disseminated root-stock for gelling maximum efficiency of their growing. Methods of research - field, laboratory-and-field, mathematic statistic, economic methods. Theoretical and practical results - basing the efficiency of seedlings growing by means of "sleeping" bud and stimulation of crown forming; the technology of sorting out of by - annual apple seedlings of knip-boom type is worked out. Novelty - efficiency of raising apple-trees seedling by the method of "sleeping" bud is found out for unstable moisture conditions of Western Forest-steppe zone of Ukraine. The positive influence of crown formation stimulation methods is found out to influence in growing by annual apple-trees seedling of one-year old crown: mechanical and the chemical. Level of introduction - the results of the researches have been put in practice at Artemivsk nursery research station and the results are used in teaching the course of "Plant Breeding" at Uman SAU. Field of use - regional agrotechnical recommendations in apple seedling raising in the process of teaching at agrarian educational establishments of III-IV accreditation levels.
