Essay

The dissertation is devoted to solving a scientific task: quantitative estamination of radioactive contamination of soils and ground waters in the vicinity of the Shelter object (Unit 4 of Chornobyl NPP, destroyed in the result of the accident). In the work new data about radioactive material distribution in soils in the vicinity of the destroyed unit over square and through a depth have been received. The division into districts according to soils radiation condition have been carried out. The quantity of radioactive fuel, that was buried into soils, have been calculated. The categories and volumes of radioactive wastes, that are localized in the soils, have been determined. The radioactive contamination of ground waters have been characterized. The analyses of sources of ground water radioactive contamination have been conducted. The mathematical modeling of tritium spreading in the ground waters have been fulfilled. The conceptual approaches for improving of system of radiohydroecological monitoringhave been developed. The receiving results had been used and may be used in the future for optimization of projects for foundations of buildings and constructions and may served as a base for forecasting of radionuclides spreading in the vadose zone and with the ground waters.
