Essay

The thesis highlights teaching professional speaking (monologue-presentation) to the students of higher economic educational institutions. It centers on substantiation and practical development of the methods of teaching two types of monologues: monologue-presentation and monologue-advertisement. On the basis of the conducted research the thesis gives a definition of monologue-presentation and specifies the difference between the two types of monologues. It examines theoretical preconditions for teaching monologue-presentation and monologue-advertisement, substantiates the necessity of teaching professional monologue with the extensive use of visual aids and determines the most efficient types of visual aids for teaching these two types of monologue. The system of exercises for teaching monologue-presentation and monologue-advertisement has been theoretically substantiated and practically developed. The efficiency of the offered methods of teaching has been proved during the conducted experimental teaching.
