Yezerskyi R. Criminalistic technique and its role in crime detection and investigation.

This paper deals with the genesis, concept and content of criminalistic technique, as well as its development under the influence of scientific and technological achievements. A considerable attention is paid to the consideration of the place of criminalistic technique in the system of general scientific knowledge and law sciences. The author elucidates the question of interconnection of criminalistic technique with the theory of operative-investigative activity, as well as with criminalistic tactics and methods. Contemporary ideas about technical criminalistic provision for crime detection and investigation have been clarified; the conclusions concerning this system and its components imperfection and improper legal regulation of this system, of technical criminalistic training of the subjects of technical criminalistic provision were made. The author points out the necessity of elaborating the methods of this problem complex solution. He substantiates that systematization of situational technical criminalistic tasks directed on receiving processing and using of searching and evidentiary information is a necessary step for coping with up-to-date information technologies and electronics and computing devices which shall be introduced into the system of technical criminalistic provision for crime detection and investigation.
