In the dissertation problems of genesis, development and essence of neo-paganism, its historic-philosophical aspect are investigated. Different approaches to a problem, existing in a modern historiography are investigated. The philosophical, religious and public-cultural conditions resulted in becoming and development of neo-paganism as a world outlook phenomenon, popular now in the world which influences development of spirituality European in general and Ukrainian in particular are analyzed.
