The object of the study: liver cirrhosis (LC). Purpose of the study: to improve results of surgical treatment of the patients with LC on the basis of revealing the risk factors and prognosis of hepatic failure (HF) development at a choice of method of operation. The methods of the study: clinico-laboratory, morphological, morphomethrical, ultrasound doplerography, rheohepatography, endoscopic, radiological and statistical methods. Scientific novelty of the obtained results: for the first time is worked off the morphological characteristic of the LC which includes qualitative and quantitative parameters of structural ;hanges, that allows to estimate functional liver reserves. Is established, that the decrease of the hepatic and portal blood low reflects decrease of functional liver reserves, causing IF development, are determined its quantitative ;haracteri sties. Is established informativity of different nethods of estimation of functional liver reserves, are tetermined the risk factors of HF development at surgical reatment of the patients with cirrhosis. Practical ignificance of the obtained results: use of the worked off norphological characteristic of the LC for evaluation of unctional liver reserves allows to prognose development of HF depending on a kind of operative intervention, to rationalize tactics and to choose a method of treatment. The iefinition of the quantitative characteristics of portal blood low and state of vessels of portal system by noninvasive nethods allows to estimate functional liver reserves, to ndividualize a choice of a kind of operative intervention at he patients with LC. Use of criteria of informativity of evaluation methods of functional liver reserves, risk factors of HP and worked off method of the mathematical prognosis of its development allows to evaluate objectively he severely of patient, to estimate a degree of risk of operative intervention, to individualize treatment of the patients with cirrhosis.
