Subject of inquiry: is organizational and economic processes of the determination and estimation of the walnut production potential efficiency in various categories of farms in Ukraine. Goal of inquiry: is a detailed estimation of the walnut production potential in Ukraine to meet the country’s internal needs and to increase the volumes of export as well as substantiating methods of its effective utilization. Methods: the critical review of scientific papers, dialectic, abstraction, analysis and synthesis, groupings, index, monographic, designing, balance, questionnaire, programme-purposeful, modeling, logistical schemes. Theoretical and practical results: are terminations of quantitative and qualitative parameters of the modern walnut production potential, capacity of the internal market, directions of the production and export development, allocation of zones for the industrial cultivation of the crop, estimation of the innovation-intensive technologies efficiency, substantiating economic aspects ofthe draft Program “Walnuts in Ukraine”, development of the methodical approaches to forecasting ecological risks for the use the insurance and credit mechanisms in the innovative business of horticulture. Scientific novelty: for the first time methodical machinery of the eco-nomic estimation climatic risks was suggested, on its basis ecologic and economic algorithm of Ukraine’s regionalizing was developed and zonal distribution of walnut farm orchards grounded; the theoretical nature of the category “industrial potential” was specified by substantiating elements consisting sense (semantics, resources, organizational opportunities, purpose, environment, mechanisms) and establishment of the most essential attributes - integrity, orientation, ability, dinamics, on this basis the definition "Industrial potential of the food nuts market" was given and it’s the theoretical model was substantiated; the methodical approaches to the economic estimation of the industrial potential were improved taking into con-sideration the life cycle of its development, and in this connection the proposal was given that categories of efficiency concerning the industrial potential should be distinguished in particular "efficiency of potential", "efficiency use of potential" and "efficiency of the activity on the potential use"; the methodical approaches to the research of internal market walnut capacity were intensified as regards the account of the food balance by the integrated clauses according to the commodity segmentation of the aggregate market of the fresh and processed nut products; the system of the estimation of investment appeal of creating long-term farm orchards was supplied by the parameters as fol-lows: "year of the positive of money flows", "year of returning of the investments", "given period of cover-ing ". Level of implementation: the basic results of the researches were accepted by the Ministry PC of Crimea, by the association "Crimradhospvinprom", the corporation "Dniester", State Branch of the European University, by the Prydnistrovs’ka Experimental Station of Horticulture. Effectiveness: the results of the research substantiate the mechanisms and directions of the radical expansion of the home walnut offer, in particular, they are aimed at the creation of 5-7 thousand hа of intense orchards that will ensure up to 30 thousand tons of high-quality fruits and 55-77 mln. grn. of the pure profit annually.
