This thesis is dedicated to complex study of style characteristics of female characters modeling in the Ukrainian literature of the second half of XIX - early XX centuries. The actual research permits to determine the characteristics of style models of female characters in the Ukrainian literature of the second half of XIX - early XX centuries, namely: romantic model (works of Marco Vovchok, Hanna Barvinok, Panteleymon Kulish, T. Shevchenko, M. Staritsky), realistic (I. Nechuy-Levitsky, Olena Pchilka, N.Kobrinska). Also this study analyzes style polyphony of female character in aesthetic modernism concept - neoromantic, impressionistic, feministic (works of Lesya Ukrainka, Olga Kobylanska, M. Kotzubinsky, L.
