Essay

The physical processes determined the electrical, optical and photoelectric characteristics of the thin-film CdTe-based diode structures have been investigated. The mechanisms of charge transport in thin-film Au-CdTe Schottky diodes on the metal substrates and CdS/CdTe heterostructures on the glass substrates are studied. The requirements to the material conductivity of the photoconverters are formulated. The photoresponse spectra of CdTe photovoltaic structure are studied.
