The research is devoted to the investigation of the training of the personnel for the ecology field in Great Britain. The author has analyzed the consistent logical flexible system of the training of the professional personnel in Great Britain nowadays. The deciphering of meaning "specialists of environment" has been given. Criteria of professional competence have been discovered. Estimation criteria of complex system investigation have been determined. 150 curricula and programs of 40 different educational institutions, which trained specialists for this field, have been investigated. The main trends in ecological education have been revealed. The structure and contents of 150 specialties on different faculties in higher institutions of Great Britain have been analyzed. Criteria of giving certificates to specialists in the sphere of environment in Great Britain have been discovered.
