Socially motivated changes in the Transcarpathian onomasticon of late 20 - early 21st century are studied, covering near 5 700 proper names gathered by the author. Main principles of nomination in the modern Ukrainian onomasticon of Transcarpathia are analyzed. The impact of church, fashion, traditions, and law on the changes in Transcarpathian onymy is explored. Both pan-Ukrainian and specific Transcarpathian trends of socially motivated innovations in Transcarpathian onomasticon of late 20 - early 21st century.
