Essay

The relation between low-angle dislocation domain boundaries and critical, resistive and microwave propeties of high-temperature superconducting YBa2Cu3O7-x films is investigated. The orientation model of epitaxial film growth is suggested. Edge dislocation walls are shown to induce thermal instability in applied microwave field. The critical current is proved to be limited by depinning of vortices from dislocations. Anomalous field dependencies of flux flow resistance and I-V curve parameters are revealed.
