The object is Ukrainian historic story XIX - early XX century. The aim is an analitical-synthetic research of features genre differentiation and poetics of Ukrainian historic story XIX - early XX century. Methods are descriptive, comparative-historical, structural-semiotical, comparative. There has been developed and intensified study of the correlation of historiographic authenticity and fantasy in various aspects, genre differentiation, poetics and typology of the historical story. They have been interpreted taking into consideration the author's range of interests and aesthetic positions. The research includes History and Literature material which has not been investigated yet and will cover the gaps in the genre historical study. Sphere of use is a training courses.
