Lisnychyi V. Development of spring triticale initial material for breeding grain quality

Subject; spring triticale breeding. Aim; to develop the initial material of spring triticale for using in breeding programs. Metods; field, hybridization, laboratory, mathematical sratistics. Novelty; for the first time in spring triticale there have been revealed some peculiarities for the formation of grain bread-making quality: there has been established a factorial structure of quality: there have been identified some donors of an increased sedimentation level, protein and tryptophane content:: there has been determined the nature of inheritance and there have been substantiated the principles for prediction of these traits' transgression. Result; there are identified the 28 sources and the 13 donors possessing high genotipical potential of qualitative traits and developed 35 lines of spring triticale with the complex of economical traits. Application stage; there are developed some stable lines which have been included in the breeding program of the laboratory for Genetic Resources and Spring Triticale breeding at Plant Production Instittute nd. a. V.Ya. Yurijev and registered in the NCPGRU and handed over to the Kharkov National Agricultural University nd. a. V.V. Dokuchayev. Application area; plant breeding, plant production.
