Essay

The object is electromagnetic processes in the circuitry of pulsed sources of microwave radiation and subnanosecond pulse generators; the purpose is investigations of transients in pulsed magnetron-based microwave sources and subnanosecond pulse generators, developing a new generation of the transmitters for remote sensing radars; the methods are equivalent circuitry method, method of sources, analyzing the amplitude and frequency characteristics of backscattered signals; the new approach are: For the first time the way for simulating electronic circuitry comprising the magnetron with cold cathode has been developed. A new approximation of capacitance vs. voltage dependencies has been proposed for high voltage powerful MOSFETs as well as some non-linear models of pulsed circuitry with non-standard components has been created and investigated. Simulation results have been implemented in a number of the transmitters for remote sensing radars operating currently.
