Ilyina O. Ecological-geographical analysis of swamps of Volyn Region.

The ecological-geographical analysis of swamp geocomplexes of Volyn region has been carried out, the ecological condition, the regularities of spatial distribution as well as space-time dynamics have been established. And the natural resources have been evaluated for the purpose of providing information needed to account for the choice of directions of rational use, planning, monitoring and organization of effective protection of the landscapes. Qualitative and quantitative evaluations of swamp geocomplexes have been undertaken, a spatial differentiation of swamps as well as the phenomenon of secondary swamping have been studied. The suggestions have been made and the principles of scientifically-based use, rehabilitation, preservation and protection of swamp landscapes have been worked out.
