Research object: The structural-semantic and functional peculiarities оf aphorisms in modern Ukrainian discurs. Research purpose: The lingvistics status and specific character оf aphorisms, the investigation structural-semantic and functional peculiarities aphorisms in modern Ukrainian language. Research methods: Descriptive, comparative, analysis of components, distribution and transformation, statistical method, etc. Results, novelty consist that first in Ukrainian linguistics the complex investigation of the structural-semantic and functional typology of aphorisms in modern Ukrainian in the paradigm of anthropocentric, cognitive and pragmatic approach; the concept of aphorism’s idiomatic essence is widened. Sphere of use: Courses of Phrazeology and Stilistic of Ukrainian language in Institutes of higher education, special courses and scientific seminars, lexicography, ethnolingvistic.
