Polovko E. The particular qualities of political terrorism in the modern society

In the dissertation are illustrated theoretical and methodical basics of research of political terrorism in the worldwide and domestic scholarship, and all problematic categories are researched. As there is no state definition of terrorism, the author could separated it from the similar meanings by his own explanation. The dissertation represents characters of political terrorism and its particular qualities in the modern world were discovered. The author has investigated historical changes that took places in formal and meaningful characteristics of terrorism. It was stated, that the main tendency of terrorism is growing of its social danger. The reasons of origin of political terrorism as public and political phenomenon were analyzed. The possibilities of anti-terrorist resistance esp. in the democratic society are described, and dependence between terrorism and political regime are defined. Also the possibility of development of terrorism in Ukraine was prognosed in the dissertation.
