Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the research of the social determinacy emigration process from Ukraine in contemporary period. The main attention is paid to the analysis of migration as social process in a society. The component stages of migratory process are investigated. The aspects of emigration process are analyzed by means of the historical analysis in the world in general and, formation especially in Ukraine. The detailed analysis of the emigration stream structure and social characteristics of emigrants are made on the basis of the empirical data. The main directions of emigration are defined as well, and their dynamics during the period of the end of the 20th-21st centuries is investigated. Since the final stage of the emigration process an adaptation of emigrants to the new conditions, is also investigated in the dissertation. These processes substantially depend on the social motives of migration, and also on the start potential of emigrants, particularly on the language skills of the countryof arrival, on the education level, on the social status in Ukraine, on the financial situation, and on the personal contacts in the new environment.
