In the thesis due to the investigation of the question of the postmodernist prost and drama the complex of the artistic features in favor of modification and later development of the new style tendency has been revealed: that is, the definition of the new problematic, a considerable modification of the postmodernist semantic code, the contamination of the postmodernist principles with the functionally contrasting ones. The features of the scientific reception of the postmodernism have been analyzed.
