Thesis is devoted to the analysis of specific features in V. Shevchuk's historical works in the aspect of main tendency in modern literature: genre synthesis and transformation of genre into style. It helps to determine the influence of a parable on transformation of historisms, the change of causal and effect relations, reproduction of facts and events in his prose. He whole number of parable modifications became the subject of special investigation.
