Yankovets A. Training of future translators by means of information and communication technologies in higher military educational establishments

The dissertation deals with the problem of information and communication technologies usage for self-studying of foreign languages by the cadets of higher military educational establishments. In particular, the methodology of self-studying organization by means of educational software designed by the author of the dissertation has been worked out. The organizational and pedagogical conditions of information and communication technologies’ utilization during self-studying have been revealed in the dissertation. The methodological, technical and didactic, psychological and hygienic requirements as to the educational software have been defined. Existing computer multimedia courses have been analyzed as to their employment during the self-access hours by future military translators. The model of self-studying organization with the use of author’s educational software has been created. The effectiveness of the methodology has been substantiated theoretically and corroborated experimentally.
