The thesis deals with the pathogenetical rationale in usage of MM-wave irradiation of non-termal intensity to treat the patients suffering from chronic non-ulcerative colitis (CNUC) and irritated bowel syndrome (IBS).Complex examination of 156 patients (82 patients with CNUC and 74 patients with IBS) has been conducted. This examination included general clinical special gastroenterological methods which comprised coprocytological, bacteriological, endoscopic, morphological, morphometric, histological and chemical studies of colon bioptates as well as biochemical erythrocytes and plasma. As a result common characteristics of clinical course have been discovered as well as shifts in the cell, antioxidant and acid-base homeostasis in patients with CNUC and IBS.The analysis of pretreatment examination results have shown that the peculiarities of clinical, morphological and biochemical disorders depend on the prevalent type of motor-evacuatory dyskinesia and to a lesser degree on the clinical laboratory dysbacteriosis syndrome. It has been found that both CNUC and IBS patients at the acute stage of digestive organs pathology have a higher reactive anxiety, as well as endoscopic and morphological traits of inflammatory and dystrophic changes in the large intestine mucosa. Reparative and energetic properties of mucus secretion are decreased, there are sings of bowel dysplasia and changes in normal proliferative and apoptotic activity. Activisation of free-radical peroxidation of lipids is observed alongside non-adequate antioxidant defense and disbalance in the metabolic system of acid-base homeostasis. After conducting a placebo-controlled study of 8 rehabilitation and treatment complexes as to their effectivity one can come to a conclusion that introduction of differentiated techniques of zonal EHF-therapy into the treatment leads to a speedier improvement of subjective and objective symptomatics due to multifactor regulating microwave modulation of MM-range influence on the main CNUC and IBS pathogenesis, promoting improvement in the subjective and objective symptomatics in normalizing the morphological and biochemical shifts which promote stable medical and social rehabilitation.
