Bondareva N. Structural-Semantic, Communicative and Pragmatic Peculiarities of Utterances Comprising the Concept of Advice.

The thesis is devoted to the complex analysis of utterances comprising the concept of advice as reflected in modern Ukrainian language basing upon the Ukrainian fiction at the boundary of XX-XXI centuries. It was ascertained that the utterance-advice in Ukrainian is specified as noncategorical speech act, which is directed at inducing the listener to perform some concrete and useful act in future. The thesis gives the grammatical analysis of structure of sentences along with the linguistic means (specialized and unspecialized) that are used by speakers to express their declaration of advice; regularity of the choice according to the communicative aim was established and the illocutionary potential of expressions-advices was defined. The motives for formation of semantic and pragmatic features which in process of communication are added to the principal meaning of the utterances were established and the main functional aspects of advices were determined. The thesis presents the communicative structureof speech act expressing advice and determines the illocutional characteristics of each part.
