Essay

Dissertation is devoted to the study of peculiarities of a gun-shot trauma due to a lesion produced by a shot from a smooth-bore hunter arms (gun and sawn-off gun) and determination of a shot distance. Based on the results of a systemic analysis of 660 experimental shooting marks made of cotton, obtained as a result of fired shots form a common shot gun "IZh-58" and its sawn-off guns, a number of the new data on peculiarities of forensic diagnostics of a shot distance made from a sawn-off gun were obtained.
