Objekt: the Old Slavic and Old Russian legal terms. Purposes: reconstruction of semantic motivations, which lie at the basis of Slavic legal vocabulary, and ways of linguistic conceptualization of legal terms in Old Slavic and Old Russian languages. Methods: descriptive, historical comparative, semantic reconstraction, conceptual analysis. Novelty: description of the system of semantic motivations, which lies at the basis of Slavic legal vocabulary, of main legal concepts in medieval linguistic world model. Application: historical typological study of Slavic vocabulary, compiling etymological and historical dictionaries, courses of Introduction to Slavic philology, historical comparative grammar of the Slavic languages, course on Historical lexicology, area studies for lingiusts.
