The object is the demonical vocabulary of modern Ukrainian. The purpose is the complex study of demonical vocabulary of modern Ukrainian at semantic and lexical levels. Methods are linguistic description with their ways of observation, systematization, interpretation of linguistic facts, the component analysis, elements of etymologic, comparable method. Scientific novelty: this dissertation is first complex observation of demonical vocabulary in its semantic-functional realization at the modern stage of language development in Ukrainian linguistics. Practical value: materials of this work can be used in lexicographic practice, in the educational process at the special seminars and special courses as well as in the scientific students' work of higher educational establishments, research results will find application at the study of separate items of lexicology, semantics, stylistics, ethnolinguistics. .Field is philology.
