Thesis for a Candidate Degree in Pedagogical Studies. Speciality 13.00.02 – Theory and Methodology: Germanic Languages. – Kyiv National Linguistic University, Kyiv, 2006. The thesis deals with the training of future biologists to teach their profession in English. The methodology of teaching students has been scientifically grounded and practically developed. The specialty where foreign language is studied as the second profession into a separate direction is theoretically substantiated. Their name is offered. The aim of learning at this direction is considered. The methodology of teaching Biology in English has been elaborated with the help of the created professionally-oriented course. The effectiveness of the suggested methodology has been verified and confirmed in the course of experimental teaching. A special system of exercises for teaching professionally-oriented monologue and dialogue speech has been created. Methodological recommendations to teachers for organizing students' learning are given.
