The dissertation is dedicated to the problems of the complex study of international festivals of modern music in Ukraine during the years 1990 - 2005 taken as a whole system; main tendencies of the festivals development are being analyzed; acculturative and inculturation processes, main functions of the festivals, their address relatedness, the level of prestige and influence, peculiarities of each festival audience after the example of the following festivals "Kyiv Music Festival", "Contrasts", "Two Days and Two Nights", "Youth Music Forum" have been investigated.
