Yanchenko O. Formation of the competence among junior pupils to work with a text-book

The theses deals with the problem of the competence formation among junior pu-pils to work with a text-book. The structure of the analysed competence is studied, didactic conditions of its formation which are realised in appropriate technic, are established. It is proved that constituents of the integrated competence to work with a text-book are the competence to work with every structural component of a text-book (with a text - to differentiate the main idea, to write the plan, to retell, to ask questions, to work with a rule; with out-text components - to do tasks, to work with an instruction, guide, table and illustration; to use the apparatus of orientation - to orient in the text-book structure, in bold and symbols) and general-educational (within-discipline) competences - to analyse, to compare, to generalise, to control etc. It is determined that pupils digest the competence to work with a text-book more effective under the conditions of special organised work which are motivational providing ofthe process of the competence formation to work with a text-book; complexity and staged formation of competence structural components to work with a text-book; within-discipline character of its formation; the combining of direct and indirect means of the formation.
