The dissertation is devoted to research of theoretical and methodological bases of formation and development of labours potential in agriculture of a region, and also directions of increase of efficiency of its use in conditions of market transformations on village. The essence of labours potential is determined as the basic compound of industrial resources and the features of its reproduction in an agrarian sector of economy are allocated. The technique of an estimation of formation and use of labour potential in agriculture is resulted. The modern level and efficiency of use of work in agrarian manufacture of region is analyses. Organizational and economical aspects of work productions’ maintenance in agriculture are substantiated. The Models of an effective utilization of labour potential are offered in the field of agrarian manufacture. On the basis of an estimation of influence of social sphere on development of labour potential of village, the structure and methodical approaches of planning of social development of rural territorial unit tare developed and offered to introduction. The model of rational employment of agricultural population in agrarian sector of economy is proposed.
