The object is agricultural enterprises and also rural settlements of Ukraine, as places of location of these agricultural enterprises and residence of peasants. The objective of the research is estimation of terms of forming of social factors of functioning of agricultural enterprises and suggestions according to its use in the conditions of agrarian transformations are substantiated. Methods used are statistical groupments, graphic, comparison, logical generalization, extrapolations. The novelty is essence of concept "social environment of functioning of agricultural enterprises" is exposed, prognosis estimation of development of settlement network is first carried out, it is deep to the according necessity of strengthening of social orientation of menage agricultural enterprises of different organizational forms, the social functions of subjects of agricultural enterprises are certain.
