The aim of this study was to increase the effectiveness of early diagnostics and prophylaxes of ecologically determined syndrome by investigating its pathogenesis and evaluating factors, contributing in its manifestation. Children from contaminated region presented exceeding of permissible levels of manganese, iron and lead in blood serum. Teeth enamel hypoplasia, lesions of urinary, endocrine systems and digestive tract were characteristic for the affected individuals. We determined reliably higher, than in control, parathyroid hormone and calcitonin activity in the affected children. The alkaline phosphatase activity was decreased. 75% of examined children presented decreased blood level of inorganic phosphorus and 67% - of magnesium. Possessing of GSTM1 0/0 and DQA1*0501 alleles, as well as absence of DQA1*0201 allele, associated with more severe clinical signs. Severe enamel hypoplasia more frequently occurred in children with low birth weights, lacking breast-feeding after 5th month of life. Affected children presented higher levels of premature centromere division and oscillations of lymphocyte's apoptosis frequency. Decreased level of apoptosis was associated with more severe clinical signs, increased level - with less severe manifestation. We suggested measures for early diagnostics and prophylaxes of ecologically determined disease.
