Poslavska N. The Structure and Semantics of the Word-Building Paradigms of Verbs with the Seme of Object Destruction.

In the thesis the structural-semantic typology of the word-building paradigms of verbs with the object destruction seme was established and described. The author maintained the relevant word-building differentiation and classification of the lexical-semantic field of verbs with the meaning of object destruction, identified the quantity and semantic-valent features of its constituents. The derivational potential of the analysed formative words was forecast and verified on the language material. The author outlined the continuum of the word-building meanings realized by the derivatives of the analysed base units. The factors enabling or hampering the realization of the word-building potential of verbs denoting destructive influence on the object were characterized.
