Vengrynyuk M. The Addressee in the Fiction Text (on the Material of the Ukrainian Prose of the 20th Century).

In the thesis the functional-pragmatic and character-creating potential of the inner addressee in the prose text is revealed in the light of communication. The inner addressee is regarded as the constructive-creative element of the Ukrainian prose of the 20th century. On the basis of the in-depth study of the facts (the card index contains up to 4000 cards) the following functions of the inner addressee in the prose text were identified and analyzed: implicit-orientational, dialogic-progressive, frame-actualizational, cohesive. The paper contains the analysis of the functional-communicative load of the addressing means (indirect speech acts, presupposition, paralinguistics means) having a strong connection with the revealing of the implicit meanings of the fiction (prose) text with its latent character-creating strategies.
