Characteristics and features of social history and history of daily occurrence have been defined as a constituent of historical knowledge on the basis of the historiography analysis of European and home historical and philosophical literature as well as historical and methodical literature. The methodical principles of teaching social history, leading trends of development of theory and practice of teaching of social history at schools of the European Council countries in particular of the contents means and teaching methods development have been revealed.
