Essay

The dissertation is based on data of examinations of 115 patients with acute coronary syndrome without segment ST elevation. The aim of the work was improvement of effeciency of the treatment for unstable angina and non-Q-wave myocardial infarction by early administration of simvastatin based on evaluation its influence on clinical and functional characteristics, plasma lipids, plasma haemostasis and activity of systemic inflammation. The purposefulness of the early lipid-lowering therapy has been demonstrated; it improves clinical course of the disease. Early administration of simvastatin reduces the intensity of transient myocardial ischemia and increases tolerance to physical exercise and fibrinolytic activity and decreases activity of systemic inflammation.
