Essay

The thesis studies application of psychoanalytic concept of subject in cinema theory and formulates the strategy of "return to psychoanalysis", which consists of the recontextualisation of psychoanalytic notions and the systematization of main elaborations in branch of psychoanalytic theory of cinema. The research revealed the inadequacy of reception of the ideas of J.-L.Baudry, the founder of psychoanalytic cinema theory. The psychoanalytic implications of impression of reality and identification as positioning of subject by cinematic apparatus are considered in framework of the third, critical period of psychoanalytic cinema theory. The problematization and recontextualization of the set of notions to the psychoanalytic texts (i.e. "regression", "psychosis", "perversion", "desire", "pleasure", "gaze") is made. The strategy of "return to psychoanalysis" enables adequate application of the psychoanalytic concept of subject in cinema theory.
