Essay

The objects are the political system of society and the mechanism of its functioning. The aims are to study the contents and to define the place and role of traditions during maintenance of a condition of dynamic equilibrium of a political system. Methods are the system approach, comparative, retrospective, is content - descriptive, theoretical - representative, the method of interpolation, method of the internal functional analysis. The conception of traditions of political demand and support transformation has been developed in the dissertation. The author proves that within a political system transformation mechanism there forms a specific regulative complex called functional matrix-paradigm - a totality of political traditions that make political system work effectively and are an attribute (attributive peculiarity) of institutionalized (i.e. with a complete system forming cycle) political system. The essence of transformation traditions of political demand (articulation, aggregation and reguation of political interests) and support as well as traditions of political demand and support balance and selectoin has been revealed. The conclusions of the dissertation enable to clarify the main points and functional nature of political traditions through particular political institutions, research the mechanisms of definite political systems functioning. The materials of the dissertation can be of practical use write teaching political science as a standardized course as well as for professional traning of political scientists.
