Essay

The thesis deals with the systemic analysis of morphological and syntactic peculiarities of Latin chronicles on the Liberation War of the Ukrainian people in 1648?1657. In the thesis the method of comparative analysis is used that gives an opportunity to establish changes in Grammar of historiography of Latin caused by Ukrainian or Polish-Latin bilingualism of the authors of chronicles. It is established that Grammar system of the Latin historiographic language is the result of combining of Latin and ancient Ukrainian Grammar. Changes in Grammar characteristics are investigated in the aspect of interaction of Grammar meanings with syntactic functions. Major role of the syntactic factor in changes of morphological characteristics of Latin word forms is established. A systematic description of the syntax of the historiographical Latin is given from the view-point of the role of parts of speech in the function of main and secondary parts of the sentence.
