Specific character of anthroponyms in chimerical prose of V. Drozd. The aim is a complex structural-semantic and function-stylistic analysis of literary anthroponymy in the system of stories by V. Drozd. The methods are descriptive, quantitative, comparative. A complex research of anthroponymy in Drozd's prosaic works was fulfilled for the first time. The analysis of the role of anthroponymic component in works of chemiral style makes it possible to define the specificity of this striking trend in contemporary Ukrainian literature in detail. The result of the investigation can be used in the courses of contemporary Ukrainian language and literature, in onomastic special courses. The sphere of usage - higher school.
