Essay

The thesis is devoted to the investigation of advantages and disadvantages of energy pricing mechanism, price differentiation methodology and alternative pricing methods development. The analysis of inter-branch impact of energy price policy is provided. The methodology of electric energy price regional differentiation is developed. Price discriminations of natural monopolies in transitional economy are studied using the category of solvent demand. It is determined that the regional price differentiation is not economically effective. It makes unequal conditions for enterprises, their competitive advantages and thus threatening the stability of economic growth. The proposals concerning present pricing system and reducing of regional price differentiation are formulated.
