Essay

Ukrainian slang of the Ternopil city. To study speech of the Ternopil city residents. The methods are descriptive, comparative, quantitative. Slangisms were collected and structured in lexico-semantic groups; a vocabulary was synthesized from the standpoint of synonymity and antonymity; slang vocabulary was analysed with taking into consideration of gender and age. Material can be used in stylistics, lexicology, in the social investigation.
