The dissertation is dedicated to the study of the effect of lung mechanical ventilation (LMV) on the surfactant system of the patients during the abdominal surgery operations. It was established that under the influence of LMV the bronchoalveolar clearance of surfactant increases, specifically of fractions which have the high surface activity. The consequence is the appearance of a large number of atelectasis in the lungs that is accompanied by the deterioration of the arterial blood oxygenation and the reduction of lung elasticity. Intensity of these direction's phenomena depends on the duration of LMV. Endotracheal injection of the preparation to the natural surfactant "Suzakrin" at the end of second hour of LMV counting 2,5 - 3 mg/kg makes it possible to prevent the progressing reduction of the blood oxygenation and to improve the lung elasticity. Besides the stable tendency to the decrease of a number of pulmonary after-effects is noted during the postoperative period among the patients having taken "Suzakrin". Received data enable to recommend the preparation "Suzakrin"' for the prophylaxis of development of postoperative pulmonary complications during protracted surgery operations on the organs of abdominal cavity.
