Vorushko T. Assimilation as a way of realization of syntactical ties in the modern literary Ukrainian language.

The objects are the system of words syntactical ties o in modern Ukrainian language and metalanguage aspects of this system. The aims are to define and to describe the sphere of functional realization of assimilation in the modern Ukrainian language and to form the system of linguistic objects on the level of paradigmatic classes of words, in which assimilation is a grammatical method, and on the level of grammatical categories, correlative during assimilation. The method is descriptive. The dissertation is dedicated to the investigation of one of the most wide spread ways of realization and marking semantic and grammatical relationships between the components of language chains - assimilation, when the grammatical form of one of these components is reflected in the grammatical form of another one in grammatical categories common for both of them. In the work the sphere of functional realization of assimilation in the modern Ukrainian language is described; the system of linguistic objects on the level of paradigmatic classes of words, in which assimilation is a grammatical method, and on the level of grammatical categories, correlative during assimilation, is formed. Assimilation as a method of expressing of various syntactical ties, including non-hierarchical, is opposed to concord, which is one of the types of subordinate ties. The real functioning of assimilation as of a method of marking the syntactical and semantic connectedness of words in one predicative zone and in different predicative zones is described.
